Checking a score yourself
How to check any score yourself, with nothing but the feed contract and the rule.
Nobody grades forecasts by hand. The person who settles a forecast only names a Chainlink round; the contract accepts it only if that round was published at or before the horizon and the next round after it was published later. If no newer round exists yet, the named round must be the feed's latest. Any other round is refused, so a settler cannot choose a convenient price.
Check a score
- Read the forecast from the oracle by id: low, high, confidence, reference, horizon, resolution round.
- Read that round from the Chainlink feed with getRoundData, and the round after it.
- Run the rule from How it works. The score must match to the unit.
The site's practice scoring uses the same rule and the same void rule against the same feeds, and its code is public.
Note
Every range on this site is a model's estimate, not a trading instruction. A strong record so far says nothing certain about the next call.
